The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. Learn more and take action.
Just Forests new WOODOFLIFE Goals are the results of thirty years of activism, development education (DE) and of advocating for a more just and sustainable world where no one is left behind.
They are also the results of two years of reflection and research and a lifetime of experience in my chosen ‘livelihood’ as a furniture maker. They are a combination of the UN Global Goals (SDGs), the New York Declaration on Forests (NYDF) and Just Forests own thirty-years-old Wood of Life hands-on exhibition panels and the significance role of forests to the success of ALL of the 17 UN Global Goals. While progress is being made in many places, overall, action to meet the Global Goals is not yet advancing at the speed or scale required. 2020 saw the urgent need to usher in a decade of ambitious action to deliver the Goals by 2030.
